“It’s hard to choose because you’d have fun doing everything at Tavor.” — Maya
Chugim are special interest groups.
Chanichim (campers) choose from a wide variety of hobbies to participate in each afternoon for the whole session. From reading, art, and swimming to ultimate frisbee, yoga, and rikud (dancing), there are great choices for everyone at camp. The selection varies every summer, and each chug (hobby) is run by dedicated madrichim (counselors) who bring their talents and enthusiasm to every option they offer.
And that’s not all!
Chugim are explained and chosen on the first day of camp, along with avodah (labor) assignments. These everyday activities are in addition to a vibrant program including daily zman sport (sports time), shira (singing), Ivrit (Hebrew), and more. Since our program is reinvented each year by the staff, the seder yom (daily schedule) doesn’t look the same every year. It is always packed with new and exciting ideas!
