Our Movement

Habonim-Dror is an international progressive Jewish Zionist youth movement founded in 1935. Today, thousands of chanichim (campers) from around the world attend Habonim-Dror camps, and many join in year-round youth programming in their home areas.

In the Midwest, Camp Tavor in Three Rivers, Michigan, has been the permanent summer home for Habonim-Dror since 1956. Now, three generations of chanichim have enjoyed clearing trails through the woods, swimming in Lake Kaiser, climbing Shabbat Hill to watch the sun set, and together exploring ideas relevant to their lives.
